Summer Holidays

The Summer Holidays are rapidly approaching. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a good summer and we hope that you manage to get some time to rest and recuperate, ready to face the challenges of the next academic year with your batteries fully recharged.
The ICT Service will be available throughout the Summer. We do take the opportunity to carry out staff training sessions during these quieter periods, so if you are unable to reach us by phone on 0300 300 0000 then please either leave a voicemail, email us at support@theictservice.org.uk, or open a ticket using the Online Helpdesk and we will get back to you ASAP.
This is also an ideal opportunity to remind you to deactivate all accounts for members of staff who are moving on – Network, Central Hosting, Email, SIMS, FMS etc. Accounts for staff who will be starting in September 2019 should be created in good time, don’t wait until the start of term when they will be needing to log on, this is particularly important if The ICT Service manages your accounts. You can use this opportunity to get your requests in early.
If you use Third Party Technicians, please make sure you have contact details and are able to reach them over the Summer if you intend working in school.
If your school is having work carried out over the Summer, which may require the power supply to the school being turned off or the school server being powered down, we would be grateful if you could notify us in advance, so we will not investigate outages unnecessarily.
