The ICT Service MIS Team provides SIMS training courses specifically for new school administrators and these are now available in a variety of attractively-priced session bundle options below.

Preparing new staff for the full range of administrative functions in a school and supporting them through their first year is a significant task.

The ICT Service MIS Team provides SIMS training courses specifically for new school administrators and these are now available in a variety of attractively-priced session bundle options below.

We recommend that all new school administrative staff complete at least the ‘SIMS New User’ full course, but the options outlined below allow for a choice of complementary courses to be purchased at the same time at a discounted bundle price.

A distinct benefit of many of our workshops is that delegates work on their school’s live data. This allows delegates to complete a useful piece of work as one of the course outcomes.

All workshops comply with correct and current processes and procedures required by SIMS, DfE and the Local Authority.

Each Session Bundle Option also includes a delegate place to attend the regular Admin Forums (usual price £35 per delegate per forum). Held throughout the academic year, our Forums provide an ideal time and place to get much needed peer support and for updates / developments to be shared with you by our experienced consultant trainers.

This bundle comprises four half-day workshops and the Admin Forum, designed to take an administrator from the start to the finish of their first academic year in a school office.

SIMS New User Course – two half-day workshops taking place each half term.
Preparing for School Census – a half-day workshop taking place each term.
End of Academic Year – a half-day workshop taking place at the end of summer term.
Admin Forum – typical two-hour forums taking place in autumn and summer terms.
