The ICT Service is delivering essential cyber-security training for all school staff online and it’s available for just £2.45 per person.
Several Cambridgeshire schools have recently fallen victim to phishing attacks which have resulted in significant disruption, GDPR breaches and in at least one case the theft of a large sum of money.
Phishing attacks are the practice of sending fraudulent emails that appear to come from a trusted sender that fool the recipient into inadvertently providing confidential information or downloading malware. Cyber criminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated and it is important that all school staff learn about common types of cyber attack in order to protect themselves.
We recommend all school staff undertake this critical cyber awareness training.
Training is delivered online, only takes 60 minutes to complete and is based on 12 modules including:
- Cyber security and GDPR
- Handling personal data
- Social Media
- Secure Internet usage
- Email accounts
- Portable devices and apps
- Offline security
