Barefoot Computing:
Led by BT and Computing at School, the barefoot website provides a wealth of resources to support teachers with their subject knowledge and planning. You’ll find lesson plans, prepared resources and home learning activities.
Teach Computing:
Along with wider guidance and resources, you’ll find free access to a scheme of work including lesson plans, slides, worksheets, homework and assessment.
Code-IT:
Developed by Phil Bagge (Hampshire Inspection and Advisory Service), Code-IT provides wealth of plans and resources for teaching programming across Key Stages 1 and 2
BBC Bitesize:
Access BBC resources for teaching Programming to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. These high quality resources are great for introducing new concepts or revising previously taught content.
Code.org:
Access a wealth of free online ‘courses’ and activities for pupils to complete. Code.org resources are browser-based so will work on any device and provide a clear progression between programming concepts. You’ll also find a range of Home Learning resources and Hour of Code Activities too.
Apple’s Everyone Can Code:
Apple’s Everyone Can Code curriculum provides a free and comprehensive set of tool to support teaching of programming with iPads. With teacher guides and free apps, children will learn to code using Apple’s Swift programming language. Download Everyone Can Code ‘Puzzles’ and ‘Adventures’ for children aged 8+, or ‘Get Started with Code 1‘ and ‘Get Started with Code 2‘ guides for younger pupils.
