How to Clear Auto Complete from Outlook
With more and more schools moving from our hosted email service to Office 365, you may find you are receiving ‘undeliverable’ bounce back messages when sending email to addresses that may have been used previously without issue.
Outlook has an autocomplete and address caching feature that ‘remember’ how to send an email to a known contact.
As schools move to a new email system these autocompletes will now contain incorrect caching information.
If you receive one of these error messages, we suggest you clear the autocomplete cache. Download Guidance Notes on how to do this.
If you have an address stored in your personal contacts list and continue to receive undeliverable messages, you will need to remove the entry from the personal contacts list then re-add their email address.
