Any school staff with responsibility for processing school/pupil data. Finance and School Business Managers who carry out financial functions or those who want to increase their skills and confidence.
Pre-requisites...
A confident user of other Microsoft office applications, MIS and Finance systems, knows the basics in Excel and wants to discover new functions and features. You will be sent a Training Needs Analysis before attending to assess your current skills and knowledge.

Overview...
A 2.5 hour workshop suitable for those who use Excel in schools to process and analyze data or for those that know the basics and would like to increase their skills and confidence to use more functions and features. This is also an opportunity to network and share ideas with other participants, there will be an opportunity to work on your own data and ask questions.
Objectives...
- Re-cap and explore the Excel User Interface and learn new shortcut options
- Work with multiple sheets and workbooks
- Create hyperlinks, named ranges across workbooks
- Format data sheets and cells using styles and conditional formatting
- Perform more complex calculations, understand the BODMAS rule
- Use the Function wizard to calculate Averages, Min, Max and Count
- Create an IF Statement
- Custom Sort and Filter Data
- Freeze titles and panes, hide rows and columns
- Create and use a pivot table
- Edit and format charts/graphs
- Import and export data to other MS office applications
- Save and password protect your data
- Print your data
