Microsoft will end its support for the Windows 7 Operating System on 14 January 2020

Windows 7 devices will become more vulnerable to security risks such as cyber-attacks, viruses, ransomware and GDPR data breaches.

The ICT Service would recommend you investigate the options for your Windows 7 Devices and plan for the future.

Microsoft will end its support for the Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 operating system on 14 January 2020

If your server is five or more years old, it is unlikely to have the necessary hardware specification required to upgrade to a more recent version of Windows Server.

The ICT Service strongly recommends that you upgrade your physical onsite server or consider taking our new Virtual Server service before January 2020.
