Bedtime Story Competition - for pupils aged 5 - 11

Purpose:  Competition opportunity for pupils aged 5 - 11
Audience:  Primary Classroom Staff

The Book People - in association with Little Tiger Press and Action for Children - is on the lookout for the nation's best young storyteller.
Children between the ages of 5 and 11 are asked to use their imagination to write a bedtime picture book of 200 – 800 words featuring animals. From the nationwide submissions five children will be shortlisted and invited to an award ceremony at London Zoo on 3rd November 2016.
A winner will be announced at the ceremony, who will go on to work with an editor to have their story published in 2017.   Illustrations will be provided by Ada Grey. They will also win £250 books for themselves and for their school.  Two runners up will also receive prizes along with the two Highly Commended entries.

Cambridgeshire Young People's Film Festival 2017 - the Tenth Anniversary!

You may have seen articles about schools being persued by OfSTED, for the ‘illegal’ use of the Good logo on promotional materials.
Note that the OfSTED logo branding guidelines state that only schools rated Outstanding can use an OfSTED rating logo on promotional material including websites and letterheads.

On Saturday 12 November 2016 The ICT Service will be carrying out scheduled maintenance on Centrally Hosted Systems.
The following systems will therefore be unavailable between 7.00am and approximately 11.00pm on Saturday 12 November 2016:
  • Centrally Hosted Email (Email sent to accounts during this time will still be delivered)
  • Remote Access
  • School based systems via Remote Access
  • Video Conferencing
