Offer your pupils a challenging, fun and creative 'Experience Day' this Summer term!

Purpose:  The ELearning Team are available to run 'Experience Days'
Audience:  Classroom staff in Primary Schools

The ICT Service ELearning Team have designed 'Experience Day' workshops to support your children in thinking about what makes an effective film, including the use of camera angles and types of shot, storyboarding, music and sounds and thinking about the use of props and settings in films.
The aim of the workshop will be for the children to start and finish their own short film and, throughout the course of the day, build up the skills they need to go and start making films on their own!
The team have been running the 'Experience Day' workshops during the Spring term as part of the Cambridgeshire Young People’s Film Festival, but we are now happy to be able to offer them into the Summer term.
If you’d like more information, or if you would like to book a day for your pupils, contact us by calling 0300 300 0000 or by email to

Reminder: Admin Angel Vacancy

Purpose:  Notification of a current vacancy at The ICT Service
Audience:  SIMS and FMS Users looking to extend their hours

The ICT Service has been running the SIMS Schools Support Officer (Admin Angels) Service for some time and we are now looking to recruit more Angels.
Admin Angels provide short-term cover for staff absences in schools, usually one or two days a week for one to four weeks.
Please take a look on our website for more details about the Admin Angels Service.
The ICT Service needs a pool of experienced SIMS users to provide this service for schools in the future.  These are 'relief' contracts and may be of interest to part-time school admin staff who want to increase their hours, or recently retired staff looking for some additional income to supplement pensions.
We provide paid training opportunities for our Admin Angels to ensure they provide a skilled and well-informed support service to schools.
Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone who you know might be interested.
If you would like more information please contact The ICT Service Helpline on 0300 300 0000
