Helpline Closed from 10.00am - 12.00pm on Friday 29 April 2016

Purpose:  Advance notice - Informing schools of a temporary Helpline closure
Audience:  All Schools

The ICT Service Helpline will be temporarily unavailable from 10.00am until 12.00pm on Friday 29 April 2016 for an all staff training session.
The ICT Service Helpline staff will be taking calls on 0300 300 0000 up until 9.45am; thereafter you will be able to leave a voicemail or send an email to and we will respond on our return from 12.00pm.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.


Academies - Remote Access Key Fob Annual Maintenance Charging Process

Purpose:  Guidance on the process and timetable
Audience:  Heads, ICT and Finance Staff in Academy Primary and Secondary Schools

The 2016-17 Online Signup Form for Academy Primary and Secondary schools will include the annual maintenance charge for active remote access key fobs.
The charge applied to your school will be based on the number of active key fobs recorded on our system on Friday 6 May 2016.
Please take the opportunity to check the activation status of key fobs applied to your school before this date by contacting The ICT Service Helpline in the usual way.
This will ensure that the correct charging data can be applied to our records ahead of the distribution of the Annual Online Signup Form w/c 6 June 2017 for schools signing up for September 2016.
Please note: Schools that have become Academies since 2015/16 will receive a manual form to complete and the choice to sign up for services for 5 months (April 2016 – August 2017) or 17 months (April 2016 – August 2017).
If you require assistance or need to make changes to the activation of existing key fobs, please contact our Customer Service Team by calling 0300 300 0000 (then press 3 for the Helpline).

eSchools NEW Mobile App

Purpose:  For general information
Audience:  All Starz+ subscribing  schools 

eSchools have announced the release of a NEW eSchools mobile app. The new app is available to download for FREE from the Apple App store and the Google Play store.
Simply search for 'eSchools' on either store to find the app.
Previously the app was only available to parents, but now any eSchools user (Teacher, Student, Office Staff, Headteacher, Governor etc.) can download and login!

Central Hosting Downtime: Saturday 4 June 2016

On Saturday 4 June 2016 The ICT Service will be carrying out scheduled maintenance on Centrally Hosted Systems.
The following systems will therefore be unavailable between 7.00am and approximately 11.00pm on Saturday 4 June 2016:
  • Centrally Hosted Email (Email sent to accounts during this time will still be delivered)
  • Remote Access
  • School based systems via Remote Access
  • Video Conferencing
